Building Management

Building management is the direct control and monitoring of a range of core services which are required for a building to operate.

Typically, these include heating, lighting, air conditioning, lifts, access control, alarm systems and a common reception. Frequently, this is all a premises will need on a daily basis if it has an external facilities manager or management surveyor routinely monitoring the property and services. Building management is popular as a service in multiple-tenant commercial properties where the landlord is not based at the premises.

Many larger and more modern buildings have a Building Management System (BMS) installed. This does not entirely replace the Building Manager, though allows larger premises to be monitored efficiently. Some systems can be monitored remotely.

Whilst we are able to talk through specifications for systems and assist in the sourcing, we can also advise on and supply building managers. It is our goal to advise clients on the best option; not always the one which is most profitable to us.
